Undergraduate Composition Showcase

String Quartets by Leo Mehring-Keller and Cory Turnbaugh

Undergraduate composers Cory Turnbaugh (fourth-year) and Leo Mehring-Keller (second-year) premiere a pair of string quartets written specifically for performance during the Jessica Stockholder: For Events exhibition. The pieces will be performed by fellow UChicago and/or Hyde Park musicians Eddie Christensen (Violin 1), Tori Harris (Violin 2), Elyas Boyan (Viola), and Innis Gallagher (Violoncello). Audience members should feel free and are encouraged to move around and experience the pieces from various points of audition. Estimated duration: approx. 20 minutes total.
