Seth Price

Seth Price is a polymath artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, video, web design, and noise music. His art deals with the financialization of everyday life, the intersection of fashion trends and military expansion, and the emptiness of digital technologies. Price uses modes of internet engagement––appropriation, piracy, distraction––to fuse formal experiments in digital media with larger questions about 21st century culture. His ongoing video project Redistribution, started in 2007, examines how digital networks create new modes of commodifying art, especially in the wake of the 2008 Recession.
