Sara Grose

Sara Grose is a visual artist living in Chicago, IL. Working primarily in sculpture, her practice takes an apocalyptic attitude towards consumer culture; using vernacular objects and still life making to build frameworks through which she can look critically at it from the inside-out. Borrowing techniques found in speculative / science fiction, her work projects contemporary commodities forwards, turning objects into hypothetical artifacts that look backward from some imagined future (or sideways from a stranger present).
